Deena is back with Peter this week. For a short show, there was plenty discussed…book length classifications, Google+ as well as Facebook Pages and Twitter, past lives,  book fairs and expos, just to name a few.  Deena tells about her experience thus far with publishing her own book and gives plugs to herself and Peter has to cut the show short since he develops a craving for Jägermeister. (Hence the intro and exit song by Tattooed Mother Fuckers)

Deena is back with Peter and Janet to kick the new year off right. We get to catch up with the 3 hosts to find out if Janet is still an aspiring author, if Peter has published anything this year, and if Deena has started a career in porn. Just kidding but she does make the leap into publishing her own book and gives plugs to herself.  We talk about promoting books, pricing them, puking, and Peter’s affinity for hugging wood and the pyromaniac tendencies of one of the hosts.

Calling Scottish Authors

scotlandflag

Our resident Scot has decided to leave the show so Bluebonnets, Bagpipes and Books is looking for a few Scottish authors and writers who are interested in becoming part of our dysfunctional yet entertaining family.

If you know the rules of grammar and writing, have a sense of humor, have a thick skin, don’t take yourself too seriously, don’t mind foul-mouths and can roll with the flow when a literary discussion verres off the subject (and rails) let us know. (Or if you know of someone who you think would fit in let them know about our search!)

This is an excellent opportunity to get some exposure for yourself, your writing and your knowledge – we have some amazing listeners and experience downloads in great numbers every month with plans to expand greater in the coming year.

No previous experience with podcasting is expected or necessary. Feel free to contact the producer via email and pass this information on to any writer or author that you know!

Episode 30 sees Deena and Mark Rice return from hiatus.  They discuss drinking, Amazon’s asinine terms and conditions for reviews, and the idiots who ‘review’ books they haven’t read. Don’t believe the rumours; Deena was not in rehab.  Whether or not she should have been is another issue.
